The world is changing faster than ever and it is also changing in fundamental ways as we produce about 2.5 quintillion bytes of data a day – in fact 90% of that data was created in the last two years alone. Geospatial is at the heart of this – as it creates the linkage between the physical world and the digital world.
“Business is a Darwinian environment and to cope with fast change we need to adapt and innovate.”
Stuart Martin, CEO of Satellite Applications Catapult, discusses how the company serves as a catalyst for businesses in the UK to take advantages of emerging geospatial technology.
Stuart Martin was appointed CEO of the Satellite Applications Catapult, one of eleven independent research and development centres established by the Technology Strategy Board (now Innovate UK), to stimulate growth in the UK economy by accelerating the development of emerging technologies.
