Darek Saunders, Head of Analytics Sector, Frontex

Darek Saunders leads data management and business intelligence as well as a GIS team tasked with the development of geospatial services. With 20 years of military and law enforcement service, Darek previously served in Mons, Belgium at the NATO Headquarters of Allied Command Operations (SHAPE). Subsequently, he joined the United Nations Security and Safety Service (SSS) in New York in 2005 to become part of the SSS Crisis Management Unit. He is a graduate of the Military Academy of Technology in Warsaw and served in the Polish Army as a commissioned officer at both Operational and Strategic levels
